Ruprecht Company has made a strategic decision to embrace the global marketplace and thus established a supply chain consistent with this approach.

There are three key regions of protein supply in the world and we have used our knowledge and experience to develop strategic partnerships that have created a global supply chain that will secure a consistent and competitive supply well into the future. This allows us to be a much more efficient supplier to our customers both within the US and internationally, while always ensuring that the same high quality standards that Ruprecht Company has become famous for are always maintained.

The Ruprecht Company is investing heavily in vertical integration via developing long term strategic partnerships with our key suppliers.

Australian Operation

Teys Food Service

Ruprecht Company has entered into a Strategic Partnership with Teys Brothers, Australia's second largest meat processor, to form Teys Food Service.Teys Food Service processes all beef cuts into value-added products. Products range from ground beef, portioned controlled individually sealed steaks, marinated steaks or loins, to value-added sub primals. All finished goods are processed to customers specifications and can be shipped worldwide.

Our Head Office
Our Head office is located in Chicago and the company employs over 100 staff worldwide.

1. Steak Cutting and Case Ready Operation
This facility is located in the heart of Chicago and produces both fresh and frozen portion controlled products, along with a full line of case ready products, on a just in time basis exactly to our customers various specifications. We are proud to say that our food safety standards far exceed government requirements.

2. State of the Art new Distribution Center and Cold Store
Both our raw material and finished products are held in a temperature controlled cold store, located in the centre of the US to allow minimum shipment times anywhere in the country.

3. Cooking Plant
For those clients who want the added value and convenience of a consistent, fully cooked, meat entrée, we transfer our raw meat on to our Cooking Facility. Here it is carefully seasoned and cooked to perfection. We add only the highest quality ingredients to our meat recipes and never use additives or fillers. Our products are vacuum-sealed in individual pouches. Vacuum-packed products are then batch cooked and pasteurized at precise temperatures and times to maximize the quality of each product, a process called “Sous-Vide”. The phrase “sous vide” means “under vacuum” in French. Sous vide is a unique and gentle method of cooking which allows the cellular structure of food to remain intact. The food's natural moisture and juices are retained, preserving its flavor, aroma, and nutrients. Natural flavors are enhanced and natural fibers soften and dissolve, leaving proteins, such as beef, tender enough to cut with a fork. The food is not only improved in taste, it retains its nutritional content; a fact that is very important in today's health conscious society. The result leads to a longer shelf life product with improved texture and flavors without the use of artificial preservatives and chemicals.

Regional Office in Montevideo
The Ruprecht Company has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Uruguay and is working towards complete vertical integration. We recognize that Uruguay is a very unique country, with unique supply abilities for the US and other markets, and thus have invested heavily in the country in order to provide our customers with Safe, Quality, competitively priced All Natural, Hormone Free, Antibiotic Free Grainfed beef along with a USDA Certified Organic Beef Program.
The office is a locally run Ruprecht Company office that co-ordinates the activities for our entire operation in Uruguay. It has three full time employees, two of which relocated from Chicago to the Montevideo Office to manage all aspects of the business in South America, including Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Logistics and Marketing. The primary objective of Ruprecht South America is to ensure that highest quality product are sourced for both the Grainfed & Organic Programs.

We operate in conjunction with Uruguay’s largest independent agricultural group – “Agroscocio S.A” – and currently they manage the following on behalf of The Ruprecht Company.

Ruprecht Company Estancia

We have also established the Ruprecht Company Estancia in Uruguay:

This is a 3000 acre working Estancia in Uruguay that is a highly intensive background operation using the latest technology in pastures and cattle management techniques to showcase our programs and expertise in all facets of the supply chain to the industry.
These cattle then move to The Ruprecht Company joint venture feedlot where they are fed on a high protein US based formula corn ration to the desired specification.
This allows our customers to experience first hand the absolute commitment that Ruprecht Company has to the industry to ensure the quality and safety of the products we supply.
